All I will say about that match is "I Blame Green". tbf, we did have quite a few goal-scoring opportunities that we didn't capitalize on but a mistake like, well, you have to wonder

I can imagine, I've seen a few Americans laughing about this. I mean, look on NL in the World Cup thread, MERG has the moment Green slipped up as his avatar (At least, he did last time I looked)

I'm now officially rooting for Uruguay (Random Pick) in the event that England don't get through the group, which I doubt they will after that shocking England performace against Algeria. They really need to get it sorted.

Oh man, my favorite part of the Italy/Slovak game was when the goalie was on the ground crying after he punched an Italian player that was trying to pick up the ball after a goal. Somebody get that guy a tampon.

lol, indeed.

Well, I'm shocked by how bad England was against Germany. I won't say much here but it's fair to say that most of the country are not happy with how that went. We've done really badly this World Cup Neutral

So I heard the US lost in the 16th game or something?

I haven't really been directly following at all (just following the hearsay) but I'm surprised we got this far.

They got into the knockout stages, which are the 16 teams that made it through the initial group stages (8 Groups, 4 teams in each and the top 2 advance). To me, it looked like they could've gotten into the Quarter-Finals, but then again Ghana aren't exactly a top class team.

Yeah, their first World Cup win ever (Would've been for Holland as well if they'd won it). That surprised me as I was sure they'd won it before, they just seem like one of those nations that has won it at least once.
