Sega to Bring Mega Drive/Genesis Games to Steam

Post  Terra on Sat May 22, 2010 9:33 am

While Sega have released their retro games across many different platforms, such as the Virtual Console, the XBLA and the PSN, they've announced that, possibly as part of their recent increased expansion into digital gaming, they will also be releasing Genesis/Mega Drive games onto Steam.

Beginning next month, they will start to release some of their retro backlog of games, starting with Ecco The Dolphin, Golden Axe, Comix Zone and Vectorman. Also promised for the near future include Gain Ground, Altered Beast, Space Harrier, Crack Down, Sonic 3D Blast and Shadow Dancer

Sega revealed pricing details as well. Fortunately, they won't be as expensive as on the Virtual Console, as the games will sell at around £2/$2.99 each.
