Man Gets Highest Possible Score On Bejeweled 2

It took the man over 2000 hours on the game but someone has finally achieved the highest score possible on Bejeweled 2, getting a score of 2,147,482,575. Mike Leyde, who resides in Riverside, California, would have practically spent over 3 years of his life to get the score.



Popcap have previously spoken about this “Maximum” score in Bejeweled 2, with Co-Founder John Vechey saying that “While developing ‘Bejeweled 2’, we debated endlessly whether it was even possible to best the 2.147 billion 'maximum' score. We deemed it impossible...and thus kept the cap at 2,147,482,575 knowing we were safe"

Speaking about the achievement, Mike Leyde said “If you're going to invest time in something, you might as well be as good at it as you possibly can. I really enjoy the thrill of victory – like when I won my first stock car race or when I bowled a perfect 300 game”

man oh man, I found it funny that the developers thought they were safe and in comes this man and proves them wrong. xD

Well, they weren't really wrong. They said that ___ was the highest possible score and that guy got that score.

Also, wow, I can't imagine playing ANY game for 2,000 hours. I invest a maximum of 50-100 hours in one playthrough of RPGs and I usually go through them twice.

I think you misunderstood me. From what I understood of the article Terra posted, the developers thought that cap would be safe and no one would be able to get that score. The guy proved them wrong when he did get the score.

Geez, that's like my 3 years of junior high right there, which felt like an eternity btw because my classes were boring as hell.
